Missions

The pattern we are to follow in extending the kingdom of Christ on earth, according to the book of Acts and the Epistles, clearly shows that the local church plays a central and strategic role in missions. For this reason, North Bergen Baptist Church is involved in the work of establishing and strengthening churches in other nations. It is our goal to establish churches made up of true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, who are committed to observe all that He has commanded them (Matt. 7:21; 28:19-20), determined to recognize and maintain for themselves spiritual leaders, according to biblical standards (1 Tim. 3; Titus 1; 1 Pet. 5; Acts 6).

We participate in missionary projects with churches in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Spain and the United States. In this arduous work, we look to the Lord so that He will give the growth: "So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but God who gives the growth." (1 Cor. 3:7)
